Inside the Johnston Family Home
Amber explains what it's like when people ask to take their picture. "I think sometimes people look at us a lot of times with other shows being on TV they think we're that show," says Amber.
"Some people are doing it to be ugly." "People are curious," continues Amber. "And people don't know how to ask questions. And it's our objective to educate people."
Take a look at this moment from the show and help educate yourself and those around you about achondroplasia.
Anderson sent cameras inside their home to look at their daily challenges and what it’s like being small and adapting to an average-sized world. Take a look...

I used to be afraid of little people when I was a kid, but now as an adult. I learned and understand that they were people just like me, just shaped differently. I learned with the help of others around me, informative T.V. shows (TV isn't all bad), and my parents.
Precious family. how very inspiring.
What great attitude. Bravo!!! This is a great article!
If more families in America took on life with this family's positive attitude there would be a lot less problems.
They may be small people but they have very large hearts and that is all that matters. It's wonderful how they chose to adopt three children to join their family! After seeing this video, it made me realize how hard it is to adjust to everyday things when you're a small person.
Wow! I think that this family stands as a model family in whom all ( or most) of us ought to use to establish our own family lives. Look at these people! In the midst of all of the "stuff" that they have to deal with on a daily basis, they perservere with dignity. One of the members made the statement " God DOESN'T make any mistakes." Truth be told, I think that God created little people to tug our shirt tails. We need to recognize all of creation as ONe, made in His image. Anyway, if we all looked the same, this would be a rather bring world. Whatcha think?
More of "God's Special Angels" wonderful, and Blessed to have each other. This was a great message.
this was a wonderful segmant anderson! thank you
This was truly inspiring, this truly makes me have even more gratitude towards ALLAH,GOD, for what He has given me. This fam is SOOO CUTE N ADORABLE! w/the lil grandpa, grandma, mommma, n poppa, the tiny kids!this is kinda weird(no offence) to me in my opinion but cute. Cute+werid=rare combination:D
I think that is beautiful. Jus*****ching I could feel the love and support of this family. I am really proud of the way they make it work for themselves and not complain about accessibility.
Just want to let you know, that I realy like your Show.
Also on CNN. You are so classy.
Right on and good for them. I think it is a great goal for the family. I honestly didn't think it was such a big deal anymore. The TLC channel running all those reality shows like Little People Big World blazed the trail and have raised awareness for all little people both midget and dwarf. I won'*****ch this family but I do applaud their efforts.
it dont matter how tall ur r how short ur.we r all god's creation an from he love us we have nothing 2worry about.an i love u guys take care of ur mom an dad guys
I'm glad to see that they try their best to work around any obstacle, but this whole mentality of that you don't need help ever in live that people go around with is going down the wrong path. It is never a bad thing to ask for help, even "normal" people should be able to confidently ask for help when needed. NO ONE is perfect and needing a helping hand is far better than expecting someone do it by themselves. at least in my opinion.
'gets the job done, just gotta take an extra step'.
LOVE IT!
Bless their hearts.
Very inspiring.
