Anderson, Your fridge is sad and needs some love and real food. I think you need to get a professional chef like Curtis Stone or Jamie Oliver to help you stock it but also teach you how to make real food instead of cancer dogs and sugar sandwiches. You can boil an egg the same as you can boil those hot dogs. You can boil corn in 5 min. So if you can boil hot dogs you can boil real food. You could make my fast fav Gnocchi.. potato pasta that you only have to boil water...toss frozen gnocchi in and when they float they are done.. just add a jar of sundried tomato sauce or olive oil and parmesan cheese even with no further cooking. Or you can heat up a jar of tomato sauce and you have a real meal that takes about 10 min. I know you can find 10 min. Skip Toddlers and Tiara's and make some real food. I would like to see you on Anderson and CNN for a while and hopefully have dinner with you one day. If I lived in NY I would teach you how to cook easy things even. Break out of your food comfort zone. You might like it.
A "notoriously picky eater", eh?! Is it wrong that I find the contents of his fridge repulsive?! I was really disappointed to see someone who has the ability to afford themselves a healthy, diverse diet, have such nastiness inside their fridge. YUCK! If low-end pb and hot dogs are what is considered "picky", I think I'd rather pick my nose and eat that!!
My daughter is a private chef in New York City.....I think you need her help !!
this is so weird--that's all you'll find in my fridge too except that mine always has beer lol
Anderson, learning to cook can be good fun and good therapy.
Don't be afraid to try new things, get adventurous with food like you are in journalism.
I also struggle daily with trying to eat the right foods, healthy foods, I am trying to incorporate more fruits and vegetables and whole grain breads into my diet, as well as trying to eliminate junk food. It is such a challenge most days.
I love to cook, (and eat),I really can't think of a food I don't like, maybe that's my problem. lol. I guess that was why I chose to become a cook right after high school. It was a my true passion.
Preparing delicious looking and tasting dishes for everyone to enjoy. Cooking is an art.
due to illness I am unable to be in that profession at the moment and don't know if I will ever be able to do it again.
anyways.........I guess what I'm trying to get at is learn to enjoy preparing meals and maybe you'll enjoy eating them too.
So, basically you eat like a kindergartener. Understandable because of your work schedule. You probably eat out a lot though. You really should get more diversity in your diet though. Don't cheat yourself nutritionally because you're afraid to try new things. Our tastes change over the years.
Anderson we just love your show.. keep up the good work.
On the other hand your a pleasure to watch and any show..
We love you in Canada . Wishing you a healthy happy new year.
Hugs to you

OMG I can totally relate food is a drag to me. My son ask me if I was human sometimes I go all day without eating I only eat when I really feel hungry and I only have certain foods I eat over and over again also. My family thinks I am strange. I'm just not hungry
3X's a day ever! I do not like even shopping for food. I was excited to see other people with the same thoughts.
The shots of you trying spinach for the first time were priceless! I thought part of becoming an adult meant we did'nt have to make those faces anymore :)
I taught myself to cook after I left home at 19. It didn't happen overnight. I have focused on foods that appeal to me, bought cookbooks and followed the recipes, and not given up. I was lucky enough to have a solid foundation on nutrition during nursing school which allowed me to temper food choices with nutritional value.
I'm 58 now and rarely stress about my food choices. I try to go with the flow at each meal. I love cooking sometimes and other meals I just slide by. It works for me. Good luck, Anderson! Pull out those pots and pans, be sure you have all the utensils you need for the recipe you're working on, and go for it. Cooking is such wonderful therapy for anything or anyone and then you get to eat it!

Ok- seeing Inside anderson's refrigerator was a little scary. Hotdogs? Anderson is riding on a one way speedway to cancer. I am sure he does a lot to take care of his heart with medication and exercise, so why does his eating habits appear to be in the trash? I am just hoping he's got some dried fruit hiding in the cupboards. The Big Vegan by robin asbell is a great vegan cookbook that would keep our beloved silver fox around a bit longer.
Please give more information about your picky eating my 11 Yeats struggles terribly with the same thing. He is away this week and I am so afraid he will eat nothing. I need a copy of this show, how can I get it:)
I would be more than happy to cook for you.
