Loved the show today! I so admire the relationship you have with your mother. I could only hope for that kind of relationship with my mother. Your an Amazing son and you lite up around your mother. Awesome Awesome show! Loved it! Thank You!
I'm sorry to say this but I was very dissapointed that Kathy Griffin was a friend of your mothers. She is one of my least favorite entertainers and she has a very bad mouth. I have no respect for anyone who will degrade our savior like she did when she recieved her grammy award. I hope she realizes what she did before it's to late. It's called blasphemy!
I was at my first Anderson taping on Friday, How truly wonderful just being in the same space as as this soulful, spirited man who has so much passion for the people around him, I can't wait to go back. I saw the videos of Monday's show with his mom and felt like I was there in that space with them, mourning the loss of Carter and crying right along with them. I'll never forget it.
I felt so honored to see such a warm & loving relationship between you & your mother,I was so moved that I became a member of this website immediately after viewing. I unfortunately do not have a good relationship with my own mother, but strive to make the most of what we do have. I've always been a fan and truly wish you the best with this show!
Anderson, very classy show and your mother is a gem. You are both blessed to have each other. I wouldn't miss this show or your humane and intelligent reporting and journalism on CNN. You are so well respected by millions Mr. Cooper.
Anderson, I was so touched by the interview with your lovely mother yesterday. You have obviously had some extraordinary experiences in your life and on television. However, I think yesterday's show with your mom will be a moment you will never forget, and something you will treasure for the rest of your life. You have such a wonderful respect for her, and I know she was blessed by the way in which you honored her.
Anderson, I just got around to watching the show about your mom. She is stunningly beautiful, funny and so down to Earth. I admit I didn't expect that from the woman I only knew from "Gloria Vanderbilt jeans". Her friendship with Kathy Griffith makes me like both of them even more! Does it ever bother your mom when she watches you and Kathy - for example on a New Years Eve special - when Kathy is always trying to make you blush? Or does she laugh along?
Dear Anderson Cooper,
I have to say that I discovered you because of Kathy Griffin. I have never been fond of the 24 hour news streams as they're usually not news but, rather, sensationalism - the TV version of the magazines that are by the check out stands in grocery stores. I am very fond of irreverent humor, thus I was led to you by following Ms. Griffin whom I consider adorably irreverent and this poor hh who comments here has been incredibly sheltered if (s)he finds Kathy Griffin's language foul. At any rate, I like and admire you and want you to do well although I'm not at all a daytime TV fan. I add your show to my series taping on the DVR then FF through most of it because I don't want to know about the reality people. However, I watched every bit of the show with your mother - twice. Now I love you even more and am so amazed to learn that she 1. is your mother and 2. is far more interesting than all I knew before which was she made designer jeans I could never afford :) She is amazing and also blessed to have you as a son (and Kathy Griffin as a faux daughter).
@ Diane, really? Lighten up.
What a thoroughly wonderful show Anderson!I've long been a fan of your mother's but knew nothing of the tragic death of her son your brother Carter. I'm truly sorry.
The only downside to this show is Kathy Griffin's presence. I've never liked her because of her fouled language. It's just not necessary really!
Nevertheless, I wish you continued success with your show.
Dear Anderson, I"m so happy that your show is on every day. You're such a delightful, sincere and funny man. I have watched you many times when you've been on Regis & Kelly (hoping that you would be Kelly's co host} but after seeing your show with your Mother today, I'm happy you have your own venue.
Sinerely, Leah
Anderson!
Your mum is G R E A T!
I hate Kathy. she is filthy... why ruin a good show with her there... er um twice... seriously move on to someone worth watching...
Love this show with Anderson and his mom - what a wonderful classy lady - thats's what I want to be like at 87!!! I agree with Diane and think the world is too full of foul mouthed women. Bring sophistication back!
My mother and I know the pain caused by suicide. Her son and my brother took his life in May 2009. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think about that day and how I could have helped him. He was my best friend and we talked everyday. For a long time we asked WHY but realized that WHY died with him. He was 40 years old and single. You and your mother seem to have a very special relationship that reminds me of my mother and I. Good luck with the show! I have always loved and watched you on TV.
